Free legal advice is available at the Queen Mary, University of London.

The School of Law at Queen Mary, University of London, successfully established a legal advice centre in 2006 which is open to the general public. Through their ‘Law for Forces Project’, they offer free legal advice to those currently serving in the armed forces, those who have served and their families in areas of law such as:


Landlord and tenant disputes

freehold and leasehold disputes

Employment issues

Consumer transactions

Private contracts



They also advise on the following matters as part of other projects that are run at the Centre:

Intellectual property

Discrimination

Family law

Hate crime

Criminal law

Immigration & asylum

Welfare benefits
