Ex BOLD GUARD Commemoration

A commemoration service and reception to remember those 15 Para and 4 Para brothers tragically lost at Kiel Canal on Exercise Bold Guard in 1974 is to be held on Saturday 7^th September,2019.  An outline of events, together with details is provided below and you should use the RHQ email address provided here to register your attendance:

Service at Glasgow Cathedral 11.30am – 12.30hrs

Reception in nearby Innovation and Technology Centre 12.30 – 1500rs
99 George Street (10 min walk from the cathedral)

Evening drinks anticipated to be held in the Counting House bar at George Square.

Family members of some of those tragically lost will hopefully be in attendance together with many former members of both battalions that were on the exercise.  Senior regimental figures will also be attending.

Dress code: Suit, beret, shirt and regimental tie required for the church service.
