A service of remembrance will take place at St Mary’s Church, Bladen on Friday 8 May 2020.
The churchyard contains the grave of Sir Winston Churchill, who expressed a wish to be buried at Bladon. So, on 30 January 1965, after his state funeral service at St Paul’s Cathedral, London (the largest ever held in world history up to that point), his body was taken by train to nearby Hanborough railway station and thence to Bladon.

12:00 Spitfire Fly Past (approx)
