The weekend of 6 May 2017 saw  a large gathering in Glasgow to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the formation of 15 PARA in 1947. The service, parade and reception was very well attended by serving soldiers, veterans and their families. As they marched together, the streets of Glasgow were lined down to George Square, where the Colonel Commandant, General Sir John Lorimer addressed the gathered crowd.
